COMPANY Sustainability, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Social Responsibility Policy
GHIZZONI S.p.A. operates both nationally and internationally on behalf of client companies and has considerable expertise in the design, planning, supply, construction and laying of pipelines for the transport of petroleum products, gas and water, as well as in the installation of associated plants and equipment.
Given the nature and extent of the company’s business activities, it is the policy of GHIZZONI S.p.A. to comply with existing laws and regulations, technical rules, company standards and good practice techniques so as to ensure the company sustainability through:
- The respect of all concerned parties, also through acknowledgment of their universal rights;
- The elimination of negative impacts on health and safety, by making continuous efforts to prevent occupational injuries and diseases;
- A high level of satisfaction from the Client;
- The prevention of negative effects on the environment;
- A prompt response to anomalous or emergency situations affecting health, safety or the environment, as well as the mitigation of the consequences of incidents;
Effective tools for the implementation of these guidelines are provided by the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management System - certified by accredited bodies - and Social Responsibility that enhances the international competitiveness of the company by fostering the continuous improvement of its performances, not only through compliance with existing laws and regulations, but more importantly through the adoption of internationally recognized business best practices.
The goals set for the Management Systems and the methods designed to achieve them are outlined in a single document system and are subject to management review at planned intervals, in order to monitor the extent to which they have been met and to check their ongoing suitability for the company’s purposes.
Employees in charge of managing the above mentioned Systems must perform internal audits designed to detect possible deficiencies and irregularities and then report the outcome of such audits to the company’s Management, in doing so acting independently of any other company function.
Having acknowledged that Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility are integral part of the company’s activities, the Management allocates adequate resources for the implementation of the present policy and for the achievement of herewith connected goals. An active role in the implementation process is played both by the company’s partners and more importantly by its employees, who are made aware of their individual tasks and responsibilities.
